Dr Edna Keeney is a health economist with more than 10 years of experience in cost-effectiveness modelling, statistical modelling and health technology assessment. She brings extensive expertise in the development of health economic models, evidence synthesis and bespoke R software to support transparent, efficient and reproducible analysis for reimbursement and market access decision-making.

Edna’s academic and research career includes nine years at the University of Bristol, where she completed a PhD in the cost-effectiveness modelling of screening interventions. During this time, she also served as Scientific Coordinator of the NICE Guidelines Technical Support Unit, contributing to the development and application of robust analytical methods to support healthcare decision-making.

Before joining Salutem Insights, Edna worked in consultancy as a Research Scientist, applying her technical expertise across a range of health economics and outcomes research projects. Her experience spans complex modelling, statistical analysis and evidence generation, with a strong focus on producing clear, high-quality and reproducible outputs.

At Salutem Insights, Edna supports clients with health economic modelling, evidence synthesis, HTA and reimbursement strategy. Her combination of academic rigour, consultancy experience and advanced R programming expertise strengthens the team’s ability to deliver robust economic evidence for Irish and international market access projects.
